A tour of Staction

  • Staction is a better way to work together

Staction is a fast way to stay in touch with your co-workers. Since communication, time-tracking, and file sharing all happen in one spot, Staction makes it easy to work, and collaborate. While many productivity apps rely on different pages to denote content types, Staction uses tags, making it faster and easier to use.

  • Work happens with projects and people

Staction allows limitless project tags on all of our paid accounts. You also get unlimited posts... That means that unlike most apps, you're not penalized for being organized. Staction promotes communication, and organization through it's interface, and its structure. Even if you're lazy about tagging posts with meta-information, you'll find that having true chronology in your workflow will revolutionize the way you work.

  • Every hero needs a sidekick: the sidebar

The sidebar helps you keep track of all of the information about the stream that's relevant to you. Your time entries, your todos, and your projects all accessible at a glance. The sidebar also holds one more incredibly useful tool: Saved Views. These virtual project folders allow you to collect all sorts of disparate data into one easy to locate, live-updating place.

  • Nothing beats a good summary

    Screenshot

The great thing about Staction is that it lets you keep track of your workflow as it happens. Rather than pulling reports, or tediously searching through pages of data, you just know. Still, sometimes its tremendously helpful to get an overview of where you are with a project. Staction generates summary pages showing recent activity for all of your project tags. You'll wonder what you did without them.

  • Auto-completely cool

    Screenshot

You might think that Staction's tag based organization system would mean you have to type more. In fact, you'll likely type less than in other apps. Staction has a smart autocompleter for the meta-box (where you type the tags) that guesses what you want as you type. Just type a couple letters, and Staction helps you finish the rest.

  • Outside the browser

We built Staction around a fast user experience in the browser. But if you really want to fly, you should try our API apps. The Adobe AIR desktop version, and the Mac dashboard widget bring all the best features of Staction to the places where they’re most convenient — and fast.
